Radiator FAQ

Q. "Why do I have a radiator with two extra holes in it? Do I have the wrong radiator?"

A. Those extra holes are for transmission oil cooler lines if your vehicle has them. If you don't need them, don't worry -- there is good news! Those holes connect to a self contained unit and as long as nothing goes into them, nothing will come out!

Q. "I can't seem to find my vehicle on your website."

A. We are constantly updating our database, and if you can't find your radiator, chances are likely we do carry it but haven't added it to our files yet. Please click here to send us an email with your information and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

Q. "What type of warranty do you offer?"

A. OutlawRadiator.com prides itself in being the only online radiator shop to offer you an UNLIMITED lifetime warranty. That means your radiator is covered for life. We'll process your warranty and get you back on the road the very next day.

Q. "Why does a warranty matter?"

A. If a company provides you with a limited warranty or no warranty at all, odds are the quality is poor and they fear they may have to replace every radiator that goes bad. In addition to being the ultimate in customer service, OutlawRadiator.com guarantees an UNLIMITED warranty with every radiator. This tells you a lot about the quality radiator you are about to receive.

Q."How do I know a website is secure?"

A. A gold lock on the bottom of your browser on our order page (where you enter your personal information) indicates the page is secure. There are radiator websites out there who display a secure logo, but do not actually secure your personal information. Do not be fooled by sites who neglect to put you first by having inadequate security technology.

Q. "How do I know if I need a new radiator?"

A. If you're having cooling or AC problems, have the system checked by someone who is qualified to diagnose the problem. You may not need to replace anything at this time. However, beware of quick-fix radiator welding and re-cores. They offer extremely temporary solutions to your problems, and are almost NEVER guaranteed past a few months. Our parts are guaranteed for LIFE.Click here to see common cooling problems.

Q."How can I be sure the radiator will fit my specific vehicle?"

A. Our team of radiator experts has a combined knowledge base of over 50 years. You can rest assured that you are in good hands when it comes to matching any vehicle with a radiator.

Q. "Is this the same radiator that came in my car originally?"

A. All vendors we supply engineer their radiators to Original Equipment specifications. Your radiator is guaranteed to fit and will match up identical to the radiator that came originally in your vehicle.

Q."How do I measure my radiator?"

A. Click Here to see detailed diagrams and instructions on how to accurately measure your radiator.

Q. "Is there an upgrade radiator for my vehicle?"

A. There are, in fact, quite a few upgrades available that can enhance the cooling capacity of your vehicle. Most often, they are listed along with the standard radiator on our website.

Q. "What material are the tanks made out of?"

A. The radiator you will receive has been manufactured to OE Style specs for fit and quality, so there's a good chance it's made from the same materials. Both metal (copper/brass) and plastic (plastic tank/aluminum core) radiators have certain advantages. Aluminum resists rust better than copper/brass AND dissipates heat better, whereas brass/copper can be repaired and welded more easily than aluminum/plastic. Keep in mind that the part is under an unlimited lifetime warranty so you'll never have to repair it.
